Choosing the right Lenses

Which lenses to choose?

So that your optician can advise you on the choice of lenses for your glasses, it's important to talk to him or her about your needs and lifestyle, as there are often several solutions available for correcting your eyesight.

Our experienced opticians will be delighted to advise you on the glasses best suited to your needs. Wearing glasses means correcting your visual defect while providing maximum comfort in all circumstances.

There are 2 main categories of spectacle lenses:

1. Single vision lenses

We use them to correct common visual defects.

In this same category, we also offer lenses specially designed for our new connected lifestyles - computers, tablets, smartphones and so on. We use more and more of our near vision, and our eyes are constantly trying to adapt. The design of these lenses, specially conceived for the under-45s, relieves eyestrain while offering optimal vision both near and far.

2. Progressive lenses

These lenses enable you to see both far and near, as well as in intermediate vision. Unlike older multifocal lenses with 2 or 3 correction zones, progressive lenses change correction very smoothly, as the different correction zones are invisible. And because you don't all have the same needs, there are different types of progressive lenses to suit your requirements and activities.

The choice of material for your spectacle lenses is very important. Today, mineral lenses are rarely used and have been replaced by lighter, more impact-resistant organic lenses. Different organic materials are available, depending on your needs and prescribed correction. New filtering materials cut out harmful UV and some blue light.

The coatings on your lenses are also very important. Anti-reflective coatings improve visual comfort by eliminating annoying reflections on the lenses, leaving your eyes clearly visible.
